Historikk 1. verdenskrig:
Sjømannen vitnet ved sjøforklaring holdt den 22. mars 1917 ved det Kgl. Norske Generalkonsulat i London, etter at DS BLAAMANDEN ble senket med 14 skarpe skudd av tysk ubåt, den 14. mars 1917, 3 n.m. East av Ile de Pilier utenfor Loire på reise Huelva til Nantes med jernsulfid (Pyrit). Alle reddet.
