Spinds Årbok 2008:
Bodde først på Kvalsvik,men flyttet til 1945 til Stautland. I august 1937 mønstret han på som lettmatros på M/S"Balla". Da krigen brøt ut var han lettmatros på D/S "Cate B". Den 14/3-1940 rykket han opp som matros.Han var lik med andre sjømenn fra Spind ombord i "Cate B", da hun ble senket på Narviks havn april 1940.
Etter krigen mønstret han i mai 1946 som båtsmann på D/S"Dea" og bsto ombord til november 1949, Deretter ble
han overført til fruktbåten "Randi Brøvig": Den 20 november 1950 sluttet han å seile og ble pensjonist i Farsund.
