Sjømannen ble reddet da DS FARO ble torpedert den 28. januar 1940.
Norges Skipsførere:
Reiste til sjøs i 1918 med D/S WOERDEN av Arendal tilhørende Olaf Christensen. Styrmannseksamen 1925 i Arendal. Styrmann med S/S VILDFUGL, S/S BESSEGGEN, S/S ALA, S/S TEJO, M/S TENTO. Ble i 1935 Fører av D/S ALA av Oslo tilhørende E.B. Aaby`s Rederi A/S, Oslo. Har senere ført D/S TEJO, D/S FARO og D/S SVOLDER alle tilhørende samme rederi. Fører nå M/S DICTO tilhørende samme rederi.
Var 3. styrmann på S/S BESSEGGEN og lå til ankers i New York havn. Ble pårent av passasjerskipet PARIS av Le Havre i November 1927. Skipet totalforliste og seks mann druknet. Krigsforliste med D/S FARO utenfor Kirkwall i januar 1940, hvor syv mann omkom.
Gift 3 barn.
