Var maskinmester ombord på D/S TORNY som ble torpedert 8.mai 1942 på vei fra Tocopilla til en Golfhavn. På grunn av påkjenningen fikk han hjerteanfall straks han kom i land og døde på hospital i New York den 9.februar 1944. Gravlagt på Evergreen gravlund.

Going through new source material in order to document the war sailors and their history is an ongoing and extensive effort, and there exist no complete register over decorations awarded. Infomation about medals will therefore be registered gradually and be based on different source materials. The war sailors were awarded medals both during and after the war.
