Styrmanns sertifikat 01.07.1925. Skipsfører sertifikat 09.03.1934.
Evensen seilte i utenriks fart under hele 2.verdenskrig som 1.styrmann og skipsfører.
Han sluttet sjøen i 1949. Evensen døde i 1978, 75 år gammel.
