Historikk:
Til sjøs i 1908 med Bark Colonna av Lillesand, tilhørende J. A. Henschien, Snøringsmoen, Lillesand. Styrmannseksamen i 1914 og skipsførereksamen i 1918 i Lillesand. Seilte ut som styrmann med ss Skagerak, ss Carolvore, ss Annavore, ss Ellavore, ss Runa, ss Listo, fr. Sophie og fr. Stella.
Ble i 1928 fører ds Annavore (5000) av farsund, tilhørende Lundegaard & Stray. Har senere ført ds LIsto (3300) av Farsund tilhørende Herlof Andersen, og ds Foo Ming (3200), ds Lee Ming (3500), ds Foo Yu (12800) av Shanghai, tilhørende E-Hsiang Steamship Co.
Sluttet på sjøen i 1949 og drev gårdsbruk og fisking. Enkemann. 4 barn.

Sjømannen var ombord da D/S "Listo" kolliderte den 16. mars 1940.
Seilte til sjøs frem til 1949.
