Hadde teknisk aftenskole og var utdannet som maskinist. Var 1. maskinist på d/s Stargard og omkom da skipet ble torpedert på reise fra Canada til England 10. september 1941. 4 mann gikk ned med båten, mens 15 ble reddet.
