I dokumentasjonen kan det fremstå som Hartvik var ombord FIDELIO ved torpedering 9. november 1941, men han hadde avmønstret før den tid.
Reiste med M/S Bretagne til Norge fra Newcastle den 2. februar 1946.

01.01.1940: Påmønstret M/S BRATTDAL i San Pedro som Skipsfører, skipet senket ved
tyske flyangrep utenfor kysten av Hellas 17.04.1941. Se omtale av BRATTDAL.
01.09.1941: Påmønstret D/S FIDELIO i St John, Canada som Skipsfører, ukjent når
avmønstret, men var ikke ombord da FIDELIO ble torpedert 09.11.1942.
13.02.1943: Mønstret som Skipsfører på Panama registrert skip S.S. TURUL, mønstret av i
Swansea 30.06.1943. Bare 8 timer etter at Hartvig hadde gått i land, ble skipet torpedert
utenfor Great Yarmouth med tap av 7 mann.
30.06.1943: Mønstret som Skipsfører på Panama registrert skip S.S. ATLAS i Swansea,
mønstret av i London 14.01.1946.
Hartvik fortsatte å seile etter krigen. Han førte da bl.a. M.T. GLOMDAL (Moltzaus Tank-
rederi, Oslo.
