19.06.41 ble M/S GRAN rekvireret av den franske regjering. Mannskapet ble innkvartert i land. 29.08.41 ble han overført til leir Sidi El Ayachi og 31.05.42 til leir Qued Zem. Kan også muligens vært i leir Mecheria. Frigitt 16.11.42. Ankom Port Lyautey 24.11.42 fra Oran, arbeidet for amerikanerne og på M/S NYHORN til han reiste til Dakar 23.01.43.
