Styrmanns eksamen 1913 og Skipsfører eksamen 1914 i Arendal.
Styrmann med d.t. AZTEC og flere damp- og motorskip tilhørende Fearnley & Eger. Ble i 1931 fører
av d.s. ORIA (3540) av Oslo, tilhøende sist nevnte rederi.
Har senere ført GLOBAL FARMER og fører nå fruktskipet m.s. BRARENA (3000), begge av Oslo,
tilhørende Ludvig G. Braathen. - Gift. 1 barn.
Tillegg:
Om kvelden, straks etter 6 glass, på 3. juledag 1911, grunnstøtte vi med f.s. ASKØY, som jeg var
lettmatros med, på korallrev (Elisabeth Reef) utenfor kysten av Queensland. Seilte på 6 dager inn
til land, alle ble reddet.
Min lengste reise var med 4m. b.s. CALIFORNIA av Mariehamn, Finnland, 145 dager fra Tacoma til
London. Dette var dengang Finnlands største seilskip.
