Nortrashipflåtens Skyttere 1941 til 1946:
Skytter nr. 646: Johannesen, Trygve. Født 1.11.1923 på Åkra.
Antatt i marinen og ble utdannet til skytter i Camp Norway, Lunenburg, Canada.
Senere gjorde han tjeneste som skytter på følgende norske handelsskip:
D/S hvalkokeri KOSMOS II fra 25.3.1942 til skipet ble senket 28.10.1942. Skipet hadde ombord olje, krigsmateriell og passasjerer da det ble rammet av den første torpedoen. Det britiske D/S BARRWHIN tok ombord passasjerer og endel av manskapet, mens kaptein Kihl fortsetter frivillig etter konvoien. Kl.0530 den 29.oktober 1942 rammes skipet av to porpedoer, og går ned med 24 nordmenn. Johannessen som var blandt de redderde, gikk deretter ombord i :
M/S TARIFA fra 24.11.1942 til 16.7.1943.
M/S IVARAN fra 28.7.1943 til 17.11.1943.
M/T HERBRAND fra 9.12.1943 til 14.4.1944.
D/S ØRNEFJELL fra 9.5.1944 til 26.5.1945.
M/T NORSOL fra 23.7.1945 til 8.8.1945.
D/S WYVERN fra 18.8.1945 til 18.9.1945.
For sin innsats for Norge under den annen verdenskrig ble han ble tildelt Krigsmedaljen, Deltakermedaljen og Haakon den VII`s 70 års medalje
