B. A. Heian var ansatt ved Nortraship`s kontor i New York i tiden 15.juli1942 - 31.des.1943, etter ordre.

I søknad om ferielønn er Heian oppført som skipsfører på HØEGH GIANT fra mai til 14. juli 1942. Han er imidlertid ikke nevnt i sjøforklaringen på skipet, og på den tiden hadde skipet en annen skipsfører: Finn Ager Madsen. Det er derfor valgt å ikke føre dette inn under "mønstringer".
