Publikumshenvendelse:
Forberg fikk senere tildelt Kongens fortjenstmedalje på grunn av alle de liv som ble reddet da hans skip, Barfonn, ble torpedert. Forberg hadde anskaffet og sørget for at folkene ombord hadde på seg the Vaco Life Suit. Den holdt dem nemlig varme og i live i det iskalde vannet etter de ble torpedert.
