Ifølge rederiet A/S THOR DAHL ble han overført fra hvalbåten THORBRYN til flytende hvalkokeri OLE WEGGER og avmønstret 5.5,41. FL/K OLE WEGGER ble kapret på fangstfeltet 14.1.41 av den tyske hjelpekrysseren PENGUIN og bragt til Frankrike. Han ble internert, først i Frankrike og deretter i Tyskland. Ble hjemsendt og kom til Norge 5.5.41.
