Registernummer under krigen: London 15659, NY 14121.
Gjennom det norske konulatet i Bombay, India, ble Rer Christensen anmodet til å ta stillig som 2.styrmann ombord på amerikanske T/S ALCOA PROSPECTOR som hadde vært torpedert og skadet. Skipet lå å ventet på taubåt for tauing til USA for reparasjon. Videre på grunn av lang ventetid ble Per Christensen igjen henstilt å ta det amerikanske liberty skipet D/S SAMUEL H. WALKER til U.S.A. via Australia og New Zealand, dette på grunn av at skipet manglet navigasjonsofficer.
Bosatte seg i Caracas, Venezuela etter krigen. Utenlandsk statsborger fra 9.12.1966.
