Nortrashipflåtens Skyttere 1941 til 1946:
Skytter nr. 1257: Olsen, Ole. Født 21.9.1910 i Stange.
Yrke: Sjømann.
Var den 9. april ombord i M/S TUNGSHA som på denne tid lå i Port Said.
Antatt i marinen 18.2.1943 og ble utdannet til skytter i Dumbarton, Scotland.
Senere gjorde han tjeneste som skytter på følgende norske handelsskip:
D/S BOLLSTA fra 7.4.1943 og var ombord da skipet ble flybombet og senket i havnen i Bari den 2.desember 1943. 5 mann mistet livet. Angrepet på Bari medførte at 16 skip gikk ned med flere tusen tonn last og ca.1000 mennesker mistet livet i området.
Etter dette gikk han ombord på D/S TORFINN JARL fra 16.12.1943 til 7.3.1944.
D/S DRAMMENSFJORD fra 1.6.1944 til 21.8.1944.
Hvalkokeriet D/S SUDERØY fra 31.10.1944 til 5.4.1945.
T/T KAPTEIN WORSØE fra 16.6.1945 til 16.1.1946.
Kom hjem til Norge med D/S STAVANGERFJORD, og dimitterte i Oslo den 22.februar 1946.
For sin innsats for Norge under den annen verdenskrig ble han ble tildelt Deltakermedaljen.
