Han skriver at han mønstret av D/T Liss i Bathurst, men ikke om det var i Canada eller Australia. Ingen detaljert seilingsliste for skipet å rette seg etter. Hans neste skip var D/S Harald (dansk) som han mønstret av 22.9.1943 i Casablanca. Han kom til Liverpool med D/S Sirehei som passsasjer 19.11.1943 ifølge Londonkortet. Dette passer med Sireheis britiske "movement card". Hun lå i Casablanca 3.11.1943 og var ventet til Clyde 20.11.1943 (The National Archives, UK, Catalogue ref.: BT/389/42, Image ref.: 189).
