Gift 1940 i Oslo med Gudrun Eliasen. Var fyrbøter i Marinen og tjenestegjorde på u-båten Uredd. Omkom 10. februar 1943 da «Uredd» ikke kom tilbake etter et tokt til norskekysten. Broren Kjell omkom 1944.
