Styrmannskole.
Avmønstret M/T RUTH i januar 1940 på grunn av sykdom. Tok senere hyre som 2.styrmann på D/S NARVIK, og omkom 22.mars 1944 da skipet ble senket ev britisk ubåt HMS SYRTIS utenfor Rødøy i Nordland. U-båten skjøt på livbåtene, og drepte fler av mannskapet.
