SKAU, HALVOR, fyrbøter, Tønsberg. Født 22. august 1891 i Svarstad, Lardal, s. av Anton Syvertsen og hustru Elen Halvorsdatter. Gift 1929 i Lardal med Margit Olette Lie, f. 1908 s. st. 3 barn. Var sjåfør, men reiste i 1939 på hvalfangst. Var under krigen på d/s Norse King, som ble torpedert 28. desember 1942, på vei fra Swansea til Boston. Mannskapet ble tatt opp av et eskortefartøy, men ble dagen etter satt om bord igjen da skipet holdt seg flytende. Det forsøkte å gå til Asorene, men ble borte underveis.
