Var snekkerlærling en tid, men dro til sjøs i 1923 som fyrbøter og lemper. Omkom 22. januar 1940 da d/s Sydfold sank etter en eksplosjon på reise fra Kristiansand til Newcastle. (Fra «Våre falne»)
