Var ansatt på D/S BIARRITZ, og omkom 25. januar 1940 da skipet sank 3,5 n. mil vest for Ymuiden etter en eksplosjon som antagelig skyldtes en mine. Skipet var på reise fra Antwerpen til Oslo.

I følge Uboat.net ble skipet torpedert av U-14 ( Kapitänleutnant Herbert Wohlfarth) 36 sjømil NV av Ymuiden, Holland).
Tidsskriftet "Nå"
Skal ha vært den første norske kvinnen som deltok i en hvalfangstekspedisjon, reiste ut høsten 1934. Hun skal også ha vært den første norske kvinnen som omkom på sjøen under andre verdenskrig.
