Var før krigen byssegutt, senere kokk. Ved krigens utbrudd i Norge var han i marinen på minesveiperen Rauma. Gikk senere til sjøs og omkom da m/t Borgny av Oslo ble torpedert utenfor Marsteinen 4. oktober 1941. 15 av mannskapet omkom, og 15 ble reddet.
