«Gjennomgikk sjøkrigsskolen og ble vernepliktig løytnant 1936. Var styrmann i utenriksfart til september 1929, da han ble telegrafist hjemkalt og beordret til tjeneste på p/s Norge, hvor han var divisjonssjef ved fartøyets 15 cm batteri. Omkom da p/s Norge ble senket på Narvik havn 9. april 1940. Omtalt i Norsk Tidsskrift for Sjøvesen september 1940».
