Hvalkokeriet Ole Wegger lå i Halifax i september 1940 da han mønstret av 9. september 1940. Til marinen 16. oktober 1942, ifølge London-kortet med grad U/KVM (San). Da han mønstret på T/T Karsten Wang er det i kortet notert "From Canada".
