«Ble arrestert i Tromsø i juli 1940, siktet for sabotasje, og ført til Bardu, men slapp fri. Var fører på d/s H. J. Kyvig, og omkom 26. oktober 1940 da skipet ble bombet i senk av fly ved Geita fyr i Sunnfjord. Omtalt i Bergens Aftenblad 30. oktober 1940».
