BERGE, SJUR, styrmann, Ølen. Født 18. april 1905 i Fjelberg, s. av Knut L. Berge, f. 1871, og Britha f. Kåtebø, f. 1879, begge i Ølen. Fortsettelsesskole og styrmannsskole. Var under krigen styrmann på d/s Varild, og omkom da skipet forsvant på vei fra Horten til England i januar 1940. (Fra «Våre falne»)
