KARLSEN, KARL, maskinist, V. Aker. Født 8. oktober 1893 i Sem, s. av Karl Karlsen og Anna, f. Neumann. Gift 1923 i Oslo med Ida Iversen, f. i Oslo. 2 barn. Seilte før krigen i utenriksfart som 2. maskinist på d/s Biarritz. Omkom 25. januar 1940 da skipet sank etter en eksplosjon, antagelig forårsaket av mine (Torpedert), på vei fra Antwerpen til Oslo.
