BREKKE, KARNOT JOHANNES, stuert, Oslo. Født 29. desember 1906 i Selje, s. av førstemaskinist Johan Kristian Brekke, f. 1876 i Salten, og Johanne Marie f. Ålvik, f. 1879 i Trondheim. Var kokk på Grand hotell i Oslo før han reiste til sjøs. Omkom 25. januar 1940 da d/s Biarritz sank etter eksplosjon, 3,5 n. mil vest for Ymuiden. (Fra «Våre falne»)
