Gift 1918 i Oslo med Marie Louise Holstad, f. 1896 s. st. 2 barn. Teknisk aftenskole, maskinistskole. Var 1. maskinist på d/s Biarritz, og omkom 25. januar 1940 da skipet sank etter en mineeksplosjon (Torpedert), 3,5 n. mil vest for Ymuiden. (Fra «Våre falne»)
