HUGSTED, SVERRE, fyrbøter, Oslo. Født 13. oktober 1898. Var fyrbøter på d/s Biarritz. Da skipet i januar 1940 var på vei fra Antwerpen til Oslo, forliste det etter en eksplosjon, antagelig forårsaket av en magnetisk mine (Torpedert), utenfor den hollandske kyst. Han omkom 25. januar 1940 samtidig med noen av mannskapet og flere passasjerer. (Fra «Våre falne»)

I sjøforklaring til "Biarritz" er etternavnet "Haugstad".
