FLÅGØY, OLAV, jungmann, Fjell. Født 11. november 1917 i Fjell, s. av Andreas Olsen, f. 1884, og Britha f. Hansen, f. 1884, begge i Fjell. Omkom 27. januar 1940 sammen med sin bror Fritjof, da d/s Hosanger sank i Nordsjøen etter en eksplosjon. (Fra «Våre falne»)

Navn i sjøforklaring til "Hosanger" Olaf Andreassen.

Han er bror til Frithjof Andreassen Flågøy som også omkom ved "Hosangers" forlis.
