Gift med Signe Andrea Henriksen, f. 1895 i Bergen. 2 barn. Styrmanns- og skippereksamen. Omkom 27. januar 1940 da d/s Hosanger sank i Nordsjøen etter en eksplosjon på vei fra Göteborg til Leith.
