Var vaktmann i Den norske marine på Villa vaktstasjon på Folla da krigen brøt ut. Mønstret senere på forskjellige skip som matros og tømmermann, sist på D/S TORRIDAL, og omkom 5. april 1945 da skipet ble torpedert på Folla, på reise fra Bodø til Trondheim.
Sjømann ikke nevnt i sjøforklaring til torpedering av DS Torridal den 5. april 1945.
