BREDESEN, FREDRIK, matros. Født 19. mai 1898 i Oslo. Seilte under krigen i alliert fart som matros på det belgiske D/S VILLE D`ARLON. Omkom da skipet krigsforliste. (Fra «Våre falne»)
VILLE D`ARLON var senhøstes 1940 i konvoi HX 90 med posisjon nr. 71 på tur fra New York til Liverpool via Halifax. På turen over fikk skipet problem med roret og ble en «stagger». Den 2. desember 1940 ble Ville d'Arlon torpedert av U-47 i posisjon 250 miles sørvest av Rockall. Alle 57 om bord omkom. Ubåtkapteinen var Gunther Priern.
