Var til sjøs også under forrige krig og var med på flere torpederinger. Var fyrbøter på D/S BIRK, og omkom 15. februar 1942 da skipet, som lå i Kirkenes, slet fortøyningene i en storm, drev ned på et minefelt og ble sprengt.
