Fiskerskipperskole. Var båtsmann på D/S VELA, og omkom da skipet ble torpedert natten til 20. september 1944 utenfor Lista på vei fra Odda til Göteborg. Gravlagt i Haugesund. Sønnen Norvald Frank omkom 1943.
