Var med på evakueringen av Tromsø før overgivelsen av Nord-Norge i 1940. Var maskinmester på D/S RICHARD WITH, og omkom 13. september 1941 da skipet ble torpedert utenfor Rolvsøyhamn, på reise fra Honningsvåg til Trondheim.
