Hadde vært i Norsk Bjergningskompani i ca. 35 år, det meste av tiden på D/S JASON. Var maskinmester på JASON da skipet ble angrepet i Persfjorden av russiske fly og truffet av tre bomber. Ble drept 21. oktober 1944 på sin post i maskinrommet".
