Våre falne:
Reiste til sjøs 16 år gammel, og var siden kokk og stuert på en rekke skip.
Var sjef kokk på D/S POLARLYS til 1942, da han ble overflyttet til D/S IRMA, som 13. februar 1944 ble torpedert på Hustadvika. Ble tatt opp av bergingsbåt, men døde få timer etter. Gravlagt i Strinda.
