Gift 1911 i Bergen med Laura Wedå, f. 1889 s. st. 5 barn.
Var først på D/S SOLVIKEN. Da skipet lå i Emden under et bombeangrep, fikk han nervesjokk, men reiste senere ut med D/S GULA og til slutt med D/S FRAMNÆS. Fikk hjerteslag og døde 18. november 1944.
