Var på bergingsbåten DRAUGEN. Omkom sammen med sin far Knut Andreas og bror Karsten 15. juli 1940 da båten gikk på en mine og sank utenfor Bergen. Omtalt i Bergens Tidende 16. juli 1940 og Sunnmørsposten 20. juli 1940.
