Var på torpedobåten STEGG september 1939 til mai 1940, senere på D/S ST. SVITHUN , og ble såret da skipet ble bombet ved Stad 1943. Var sist på D/S AUSTRI og ble såret da skipet ble angrepet av fly utenfor Stord og døde da han ble brakt i land 21. februar 1945. Gravlagt i Stavanger.
