Våre Falne, sjøforklaring D/S Rygja og Innrulleringssjefen i Bergen:
Ifølge Våre falne så seilte Gabrielsen "under krigen som fyrbøter på D/S Rygja og omkom 4. april 1943 da skipet ble minesprengt 3 n. mil sørøst for Skagen". Dette er imidlertid feil. Ifølge sjøforklaring datert 16. april 1941, så døde han antagelig 17. mars 1941. Ifølge Innrulleringssjefen i Bergen druknet han med Rygja 17. mars 1941.
