Reiste til sjøs i 1920 og tjenestegjorde dels som dekksmann dels i maskinen. Omkom 26. desember 1941 med D/S KONG RING som ble minesprengt og senket ved Ulsfjord i Troms. Gravlagt i Indrefjord ved Hammerfest.
