Registernummer under krigen: London 70221.
Bowlin er ført opp i mannskapsliste for B.P. Newton 30. september 1943. Men om han var om bord, må han i så fall ha mønstret av før krigsforlis. Det må være feil at Bowlin står oppført som "survivor" på B.P. Newton (forlisdato 8.7.1943) i Londonregisteret, det må ha vært Breiviken (4.7.1943). Dette bekreftes blant annet ved at det er kun i sjøforklaring på Breiviken at Bowlin er nevnt.

Infomation about medals will therefore be registered gradually and be based on different source materials. The war sailors were awarded medals both during and after the war.
