Om bord på M/S KATTEGAT som ble senket av en tysk raider den 20.5.1942. Mannskapet ble tatt om bord i raideren og landsatt i Yokohama. Senere overført til blokadebryteren M/V RAMSES, som også ble senket. Mannskapet ble tatt om bord i australsk krigsskip, og ble landsatt i Freemantle. Frigitt den 14.12.1942. Fangenskap lønn fra 28.7.1942 til 27.1.1943.
