AAS, OLAV, lettmatros, Florø. Født 22. mai 1923 i Florø, s. av Fridthjof Aas, f. 1891 i Hadsel, og Amalie f. Jakobsen, f. 1890 i Kinn. Var på m/s Kattegat som ble senket 20. mai 1942 av en tysk kaper i Sør-Atlanterhavet. Han ble tatt til fange av tyskerne og kom i japansk fangenskap. Rømte derfra og var senere på m/s Tricolor. Falt overbord og druknet 28. oktober 1944 i Port Adelaide South Australia. Gravlagt i Port Adelaide.
