Rømte til Sverige den 10.januar 1942. Satte livet til den 1.april 1942 da M/T STORSTEN sank vest for Kristiansand etter eksplosjon, på reise fra Gøteborg til England.
M/T STORSTEN var en av de såkalte «Kvarstadbåtene» som hadde ligget i arrest i Gøteborg. Den 31. mars 1942 brøt hun ut sammen med 10 andre norske skip med kurs for England.
