VEGSUND, OLE ANTON, lettmatros, Borgund i Møre. Født 23. februar 1923 i Borgund, s. av Laurits Petter O. Vegsund, f. 1899 s. st., og Lina f. Sylte, f. 1899 s. st. Middelskole. Reiste ut som lettmatros i januar 1940, og gikk inn i Marinen som dekksmann på jageren Bath da krigen var brutt ut. Omkom 19. august 1941 da fartøyet gikk ned med størsteparten av mannskapet.
